William Hill hopes to expand its influence in the world of Irish horseracing by welcoming four new figures as brand ambassadors.

The newly added ambassadors include Gavin Cromwell – a trainer at the Cheltenham Festival, accomplished jockeys J J Slevin and Sean Flanagan and the presenter and broadcaster Jane Mangan.

The quartet of ambassadors will contribute by providing blogs that cover major racing events and news. Moreover, they will create regular video content for the bookmaker's social media platforms.

The announcement of these ambassador appointments also coincides with the news that William Hill has extended its sponsorship of the William Hill Champion Chase at the Punchestown Festival for the next three years.

The company also announced additional sponsorships for races like the William Hill Boyne Hurdle at Navan on 11 February.

To round this all off, William Hill has formed a partnership with Off The Ball, an Irish sports media company. This collaboration will result in joint-branded live horse racing events across Ireland, including podcasts, radio shows, website features and live digital content.

The inaugural event is scheduled for 1 February ahead of the Dublin Racing Festival,Casino games featuring all four newly appointed Irish horse racing ambassadors.

Andrew McCleave, Head of Marketing at William Hill (Ireland), stated: “William Hill has a long proud history in horse racing, specifically in the UK, and for 2024 we want to position ourselves at the heart of racing in Ireland as well.

“We are delighted to announce Gavin Cromwell, J J Slevin, Sean Flanagan and Jane Mangan as our new horse racing ambassadors in Ireland. All four are very talented in their fields and will be able to offer fascinating and unique insight to our followers.”
